The barrel is polished by hand to give a premium feel and it really is a beautiful piece in your hand. In the hand, it feels thick and solid yet it is comfortable to write with for extended periods. It can be easily refilled with a D1 Soul ballpoint pen refill. The writing mechanism is made of durable carbon tungsten and it uses a standard international ballpoint pen refill.
